Plant a Family Forest

Inspired by the #SAVESOIL movement, in 2022 we partnered with Cauvery Calling – A Model for the Tropical World, in India.

The idea of Cauvery Calling is to create a demonstrable model and make it a living example for everyone else. If we successfully implement this, this is not about Cauvery alone, this will be a game-changer for India and the whole tropical world.

The farmers are willing and the two state governments want to give subsidies to help the farmers to shift, so these two things are in place. The third aspect is the larger society, which is you and me, especially the urban population.

So far iGiveTrees has sponsored 1,000 trees with them.

iGiveTrees first began giving trees to families who wanted to restore their degraded land in Cunha, São Paulo, Brazil in 2010.

Our results have been rewarding: soil and streams came back to life, pollinators and wildlife returned, while rural Brazilians reaped the rewards of organic regeneration of the rainforest.

Let the Kids for Environmental and Social Action inspire you. With the help of their families, they sponsored the first 1,000 trees by baking cookies and the next 2,000 trees with this benefit concert in 2010! Motivated by their example, school children in São Paulo then began to support our field partners with additional annual tree plantings.
